98.7 KISS FM Raises Over $76,000 for Haitian Relief
New York, NY – In a heartwarming effort to support those affected by the recent catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, on Monday, January 18th, 98.7 KISS FM, New York’s premier station for Old School and Today’s R&-on-bet” target=”_blank”>” target=”_blank”>;B, joined forces with the Salvation Army to raise an impressive $76,438.70 during a special radiothon on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The initiative was spearheaded by The D.L. Hughley Morning Show, featuring D.L. Hughley, Jacque Reid, Steve Wilson, and Bob Slade, who kicked off the radiothon bright and early at 6 . Listeners were encouraged to contribute any amount to the Salvation Army’s dedicated line for 98.7 KISS FM, with donors of $98 or more receiving special song requests and dedications.
Due to the overwhelming response from the KISS FM community, the radiothon was extended until 3 pm, with 98.7 KISS FM’s Midday Hostess, Shaila, taking the reins. Jill Strada, Program for 98.7 KISS FM, expressed her pride in the team and the community’s generosity, emphasizing the station’s commitment to supporting important causes.
