This week, I’m aiming for a perfect score. My beloved Chicago Bears already triumphed over the NY Giants, so they’re not part of this week’s picks. 1. DETROIT LIONS VS. CLEVELAND BROWNS
Whether Megatron will return this week for the Detroit Lions is uncertain. However, I believe that the Cleveland Browns will potentially clinch this game. Detroit’s explosive offense is a strong contender, but the Browns have shown promising performance this year. I predict a close game win for the Cleveland Browns.
2. PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. NEW YORK JETS
As much as I admire coach Mike Tomlin, I don’t foresee a -season win for the Steelers against this invigorated New York Jets team. The Jets seem on a mission to save coach Rex Ryan’s job. Despite expecting a few missteps from rookie QB Geno Smith against the Steelers defense, I still believe the New York Jets will triumph.
3. GREEN BAY PACKERS VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS
Last week, I found myself grudgingly predicting a Packers win over Detroit, which turned out to be correct. Most pundits are picking the Pack to beat the Ravens, but I’m heading in the opposite direction. My gut tells me the Baltimore Ravens will pull this game out at home.
4. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS VS. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
This would typically be a classic QB match-up with two of the league’s elite passers going head-to-head. However, this week, I Drew Brees and his Saints remaining undefeated against Tom Brady and his Patriots. Drew Brees’ arsenal of weapons and a significantly improved defense since last year tip the scales in their favor.
5. TENNESSEE TITANS VS. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
The Tennessee Titans have been a worthy adversary this year for most of their competition, but not this week. The Seattle Seahawks, with their home advantage, are predicted to win this game comfortably. The Seahawks’ defense will likely dominate this game.
