Empowering Women in Radio: Scholarship Applications Open for “Rising Through the Ranks” Program
Exciting news for women in the radio industry as BMI, in collaboration with the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio ” target=”_blank”>-signs-global-publishing-deal-with-inxs” target=”_blank”> (MIW), announces the opening of scholarship applications for their annual “Rising Through the Ranks” program. This two-day training seminar, focused on supporting and advancing women in radio sales management, is set to take place on August 31-September 1, 2025, at the BMI Offices in Nashville, Tennessee.
The 2025 Women in Radio Management & Leadership Training Seminar aims to equip recent and emerging female managers with essential skills and knowledge in radio sales management. From critical sales techniques to effective time management and public speaking, the program is designed to empower women in leadership roles within the radio industry.
Alison Smith, Senior Vice of Performing Rights at BMI, will deliver this year’s keynote address, sharing insights and experiences from her impressive 25-year career at BMI. The program, which has seen significant success in previous years, will offer 25 scholarships to support female managers in advancing their careers.
