The second season of R&;B Divas Atlanta was a much-anticipated event for fans. SVP Program Strategy and Acquisitions, Maureen Guthman, stated, “R&B Divas Atlanta has quickly become one of the strongest performers in our originals portfolio.” “Destination Divas” was designed to extend the entertainment factor for viewers and generate excitement for the second season premiere of R&B Divas Atlanta.
Specials and Highlights
The month of “Destination Divas” featured a variety of specials and iconic performances. A pre-party hosted by comedian Joe Claire was organized to update viewers on the goings-on of the R&B Divas cast and preview the upcoming season. The special also showcased popular music videos from the cast members, including Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, Syleena Johnson, Monifah Carter, Keke Wyatt, and the newest additions, LaTocha Scott and Angie Stone.
Another highlight was the encore presentation of Diana Ross: Live in Central Park, a performance that solidified Diana Ross as a legend.
