Edison Research’s 30 Under 30: A Look Back
In 2011, Edison Research embarked on a mission to identify the brightest young stars in the radio industry. The initiative, dubbed “30 Under 30,” focused on individuals who were making waves in various aspects of broadcasting. The selection process was rigorous, with over 200 nominations, all of whom were under 30 years of age as of October 1, 2011.
The Diverse Range of Honorees
The selection of honorees was as diverse as the industry itself, featuring talents from large market PDs to inventors of USB turntable and Internet radio devices. These individuals represented 22 different companies and a wide array of formats, such as Country, Urban, Public Radio, Christian AC, and Top 40.
The Honors and Recognition
All “30 Under 30” honorees were granted free registration for the Arbitron Client Conference and Jacobs Media Summit. In a special event at the conference, a cocktail party was held to honor their achievements. One lucky honoree also received a free registration and paid travel expenses to attend the “Future Of Radio Conference.”
