Russell’s varied resume includes stints at Sony Music and Arista/BMG Music under the leadership of legendary Clive Davis and later music impresario LA Reid. Overseeing promotion campaigns for the West and Southwest regions, he worked with a roster that included such Grammy Award-winning acts as Whitney Houston, OutKast, Usher and Santana. Russell has cultivated strong, ongoing relationships in the broadcast arena as well where he has held senior management positions at both KKBT (The Beat) and KDAY. He has successfully developed community relations/outreach programs and secured sponsorship partnerships on behalf of his client’s events and causes including syndicated radio personality Steve Harvey’s Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament and wildly popular Hoodie Awards, as well as numerous celebrity book and toy drives benefiting children in underserved communities. In addition to his professional achievements, Russell, as the co-founder of a non-profit benefiting children with autism, has hosted several celebrity golf tournaments co-chaired by respected news anchor, Dave Clark and Oscar-nominated actor, Don Cheadle, and was featured, along with his wife, Pepper, in the highly acclaimed book, Autism Heroes.
