LA Prosecutors state they want more evidence from police before determining whether to press charges against singer Chris Brown, who allegedly had a physical altercation with pop superstar Rihanna. The police have gone back and forth saying Rihanna is cooperating and then not cooperating. It is evident, she is NOT cooperating at this point. Police presented a case regarding Brown on Tuesday, but did not release any of its details, Los Angeles County District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison states. She said the office would have no further comment on the case. Brown has only been booked on suspicion of making a criminal threat, which is still a felony. Police have said that prosecutors would determine what charges, if any, were warranted. Sources state the district attorney’s kicking the case back to police signals that prosecutors are either seeking to build stronger charges or just the opposite, it could mean the current evidence is too weak and could drop it to a misdemeanor or disappear alltoghter. To that end, Brown remains free (and secluded) on $50,000 bail.
