Former Interep Exec’s Firm to Lead Unwired Network Sales for Spotset

(Memphis, TN) — Veteran national radio executive, Sherman Kizart of Kizart Media Partners has joined forces with Memphis-based Spotset Radio Network to lead their national sales efforts.  Spotset creates unwired radio networks and geographies customized to fit the needs of radio advertisers nationally, with particular specialization in medium and small radio markets, size 150 and higher.
Kizart, formerly Sr. Vice President of Urban Radio at Interep Radio for over 13 years, is widely known and respected for his vast experience and national radio sales savvy.  He recently launched Kizart Media Partners, a multi-media sales consulting firm.  “I’m particularly excited having been associated with Spotset since 2000, as well as being a fervent believer that unwired networks are absolutely the future of national radio buying,” expressed Mr. Kizart.
Sherman Kizart worked strategically with Fuse Advertising of St. Louis as an integral part of President-elect Obama’s national radio strategy during the presidential campaign.  Their efforts on behalf of the Obama campaign led them to successfully develop an incomparable unwired urban radio network in selected cities across the country.  Like the other elements of their broadcast advertising, the Obama campaign’s radio advertising was highly effective and pervasive.
Robertson and Kizart first met while working together in local sales at WPTY-TV in Memphis from 1989- 1990. “Sherman is a consummate professional,” said Spotset CEO and founder Howard Robertson.  “We’ve been friends and peers for over 20 years and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Kizart Media Partners working with us at Spotset.”
