It’s a damn shame that I have to do one magazine covering three events but now clients have three reasons to buy ads… This economy is fooking with the best of us even master hustlers like me, shyt… In an industry where we are all nervous about the future, let’s take a second to laugh at some shit and be entertained for a chance… The best of the Radio Facts blog, everybody’s favorite section YIKES, and OH NO, OPEN THE CHUYCH, WHAT IN DE FOOK and all the crazy shit that happened in radio in 2008. Let’s face it, you can keep reading the depressing ass weekly trade mags, soon to be monthly’s (excusing Radio One’s trade mag which will continue to get ads with no problem, I’ll give you 57 guesses, the first 56 DO count…. who in the hell can compete with that, they should call that magazine “Monopoly” or “Hostage” -laugh-). If any of the execs at Clear Channel want to do a trade mag pick up the phone and call me NOW!!!

Sports Radio DJs Fired on air, Find out via Twitter (vid)
Kevin Ross - 0
This is the reason that labels, Radio DJs, PDs and radio should befriend the legitimate industry press. We really DO know things BEFORE they do that could affect them. Chicago radio blogger Robert Feder broke the story on Twitter about the station folding WHILE THE Radio DJS WERE ON THE AIR. Tribune Media, owners of WGN, launched the area's first sports talk radio FM station in February. It just didn't work and yesterday the news broke that The Game 87.7 was folding Hosts Alex Quigley and Ben Finfer are pissed and blame industry vet GM Jimmy de Castro for not having the courage to inform them. Listen to their reaction. Actually Finfer is more pissed but welcome to radio, it appears his ego is wounded. It has happened to the beast of us. He's rambling and the station does note owe him an explanation. The people who are texting him are right, shut up and stop whining and finish the show. A potential NEW employer could be listening.
