Jimmy Farrell, a 32-year radio veteran, has been appointed as the new Vice President and Market Manager of CMG Miami Radio, a role he officially stepped into today. In his new position, Farrell will oversee all of CMG’s radio stations in the Miami market, including Easy 93.1 FM, Hits 97.3 FM, 99JAMZ, and Hot 105 FM.

Before this, Farrell led CMG Jacksonville Radio since 2022, where he and his team made a significant impact by raising over $1 million for the Child Cancer Fund of Jacksonville and contributing more than a million community service moments.
Under his leadership, CMG Jacksonville also won a prestigious Marconi Award in 2023 for Contemporary Hit Radio Station of the Year (WAPE) and achieved record-high ratings in 2025.
Farrell takes over from Ralph Renzi, who led CMG Miami Radio since 2017 and is leaving to pursue a new opportunity. Rob Babin, President of CMG Radio, praised Farrell’s leadership skills, saying, “Jimmy is a terrific leader who builds strong teams and achieves extraordinary results. I know CMG Miami Radio will thrive under his leadership.”
This is a homecoming for Farrell, who started his career as an intern at CMG Miami while studying at the University of Miami. He expressed his excitement about returning to the city, stating, “I’m very excited to come home to lead CMG Miami Radio and continue their outstanding efforts to positively impact our loyal listeners, outstanding communities, and clients.”
In addition to his professional role, Farrell is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Jacksonville, where he has served since 2020. He plans to take on similar leadership roles in the Miami community moving forward.
