2024 Black Music Honors to Celebrate Musical Legends

Central City Productions, a pioneering African-American-owned entertainment company, is gearing up for the 9th annual Music Honors. This year’s ceremony, taping on Saturday, May 18th at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, GA, will honor music icons Johnny Gill, Patrice Run, Bootsy Collins, and Hezekiah Walker.

Singers LeToya Luckett and DeRay Davis will return as co-hosts for the highly anticipated event.

Black Music Honors is a yearly celebration recognizing the outstanding achievements and lasting of Black artists in the .

“For nine years, Black Music Honors has championed the incredible artists who have brought joy to millions,” shared founder and executive Don Jackson. “This year’s honorees are true pioneers who richly deserve this recognition. We are honored to showcase these legendary figures whose careers span decades and whose stories weave into the vibrant tapestry of Black music, a that has touched the world.”

The 2024 Black Music Honors promises a night of exceptional , moving tributes, and unforgettable moments. The televised special will on the Stellar Network on Saturday, June 1st at 8 pm EST, with a rebroadcast later that evening. It will air nationally throughout June in syndication, coinciding with Black Music Month. Bounce TV will also air the show on Juneteenth, Wednesday, June 19th at 9 pm EST.

Procter and Gamble serve as the presenting sponsor for the , with additional support from , Verizon, State Farm, General Motors (Chevy), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and AARP. The 9th Annual Black Music Honors is executive produced by Don Jackson, with Jennifer J. Jackson serving as producer and executive in charge of production, Michael A. Johnson as producer and director, Erin Johnson as talent producer, and Daniel Moore as music director.
