Editor’s Note: We are thrilled to share this news. Heidi Raphael is an exceptional industry professional and a genuinely wonderful person. This is a well-deserved appointment, and we congratulate her on this next chapter.
The New York State Broadcasters Association has named Heidi Raphael as its next president and chief executive officer. She will succeed David Donovan, who has led the organization for 15 years.

Donovan is expected to leave the president and CEO role later this year but will continue overseeing the association’s government relations and advocacy work in Albany and Washington, D.C.
Raphael currently serves as chief communications officer of Beasley Media Group, where she has worked for nearly a decade. Her responsibilities have included corporate communications, industry relations, and support for company initiatives.
Before joining Beasley, Raphael spent more than 20 years with Greater Media, eventually becoming senior vice president of corporate communications.
A Western New York native, Raphael has more than 30 years of experience in broadcasting, communications, public affairs, and industry advocacy.
The New York State Broadcasters Association represents more than 700 radio and television stations and advocates on industry issues before state and federal government bodies.
