Origins & Founder
Radio Facts was founded by Kevin Ross in 1995, emerging from his deep passion for radio and music. Ross began his career in the early 1980s at Turtles Records in Atlanta before moving into radio, working at stations across Georgia, Denver, and Los Angeles.
Inspiration
Ross created Radio Facts to address a critical need: connecting and supporting Black professionals in the radio and music industries who were often overlooked. What began as emails to industry colleagues sharing frustrations and information evolved into a comprehensive platform celebrating achievements and fostering community.
Ross was deeply influenced by cultural icons like Berry Gordy and Don Cornelius, studying the music industry from album covers to business operations. His vision was to provide both quality information and a sense of community for industry professionals.

The site has grown from its humble beginnings to become a respected voice in the radio industry, particularly for urban radio formats and Black media professionals. Radio Facts features:

- Adapt to a rapidly changing media landscape
