– Owner of
Any female who is the first Afro-American/Black to accomplish owning a publicly traded chain, deserves to be in the Top 30.   What success she has had.

Jamillah Muhammad – Radio One/Program Dir.
I have know Jamillah since she was an intern for the City of Chicago and have watched her career blossom.   She has exceeded and proven to many how dedicated and passionate she is about her work and her desire to do the best in whatever challenges presented to her.

De De McGuire – co-host /K104/morning show
Great personality that comes across the air waves.   Awesome celebrity interviews.

Reporter for ESPN
She is the only sister on the ESPN network that I see covering sports and she is very good at her sports knowledge, she’s articulate and a very attractive black woman to boot! I just love sports and I think she deserves props for being one of the few if not the only sister working that network the way she does.

– K104 Dallas and V103 Chicago
I think DeDe McGuire deserves this award because of her constant humanitarian work that she does in her community and surrounding areas. DeDe goes the extra mile in keeping the public updated with not only what is going on in the music industry but, what is also going on political field and well as public interest on key issues in America.

Whitney Houston      Singer
This is a biased choice because she is my all time favorite singer and she has achieved so much and gotten through so much as far as media, marriage, drugs etc. Her voice is unmatched and she is drop dead gorgeous.

Dede McGuire – K104-KKDA Dallas On
Dede has been in the business 20 years.   She has always maintained dignity and grace in her daily job performance.   Her message to young women has always been positive.   She has quietly supported and given to different charities in her community.
Dede, is accessible and to ready help when needed. Dede, is a true professional, dependable, articulate, fair, and I don’t think she’s finished.   A generation has almost grown up with her and she hasn’t let them down.   She has been an excellent role model.   She is a dedicated professional who has never resorted to to tearing another down to gain standing or ratings.   She is holding down 2 jobs the female Tom Joyner…Dallas K104 in the morning and V103 Chicago in afternoon with Doug Banks.

Sylvia Rhone – Universal
Sylvia has worked very hard in the music industry, and I am sure it was not easy staying on top in the industry with all the male record executives in position.   She is definitely the Godmother of the music industry.

Dede McGuire – KKDA Dallas
I have listened to DeDe for awhile.   She is informative, witty, makes the show interesting.   She says positive things for women.   Carries her self like a lady.

Adriane T. Gaines      President,
Gaines, whose career in broadcasting and management spans more than 25 years, was appointed president and general manager of radio station WWRL in October 1995 where she oversees its operation and management.   Upon this appointment, Ms. Gaines stated that her commitment to take the company to new heights while continuing the programmatic thrust of the station and its inspired tradition of community service.   She also serves as Secretary of the parent company, Access.1 Communications Corp, which owns and operates nine radio stations in Louisiana and Texas, a syndication company with 35 nationally syndicated shows as well as NBN Broadcasting, which is one of the two founding partners of the American Urban Radio Networks.
