zachMusic rights management company BMG has announced the promotion of Zach Katz to Chief Creative Officer, BMG Chrysalis North America, based in Los Angeles.Katz will continue to report directly to Laurent Hubert, President of Marketing& Creative, and oversee the LA and NY based creative staff.Since joining the company in 2012, Katz has shaped and led the creative team that was responsible for numerous additions to the roster, garnering significant chart placements. Key highlights have been the signings of Claude Kelly, Greg Wells, the Strokes, Bebe Rexha, French Montana, Monsters& Strangers, Juicy J, Chris Braide, Jen Decilveo, Wolfgang Gartner, Xplicit, John Ryan and Howard Benson.In his new role, Katz will continue to expand BMG’s roster and maximize the opportunities for signed talent.Prior to BMG, Katz co-founded record label Beluga Heights with his client/partner JR Rotem, worked closely with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment and served as GM of Groove Attack USA.
