You know them as authors – really famous authors—with more than 200 million books sold. Once a year, they band together to form the all-star, all-author rock group the Rock Bottom Remainders.
This year’s Rock Bottom Remainder lineup features Dave Barry on lead guitar, Amy Tan on vocals, Mitch Albom on keyboards, Scott Turow on vocals, Greg Iles on lead guitar, Kathi Kamen Goldmark on vocals, James McBride on saxophone, Ridley Pearson on bass, and Roy Blount Jr. (self-proclaimed crowd pleaser).
As the band hits the road for a four-city “Wordstock Tour” (April 20-24 in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston) all ten members of “the lit pack” will join Book Radio hosts Maggie Linton and Kim Alexander for an in-depth interview on their weekly show Cover to Cover Live at SIRIUS XM’s Washington, D.C .studios.
The interview will air April 20 live from 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET on Book Radio—SIRIUS channel 117/XM channel 163.
Roger McGuinn, a founding member of the Byrds, will be making a special guest appearance with the Rock Bottom Remainders at their Washington D.C. shows. Proceeds from the Wordstock Tour, which is being presented by the Pearson Foundation, will support Haitian relief and local non-profit organizations.
