iHeartMedia’s The Breakfast Club, the popular morning show syndicated on Hip-Hop and R&B stations nationwide, announced today #Change4Change, an all-day radiothon to benefit The Gathering for Justice, an organization whose mission is to eliminate racial inequalities, social injustice and child incarceration. The #Change4Change radiothon will broadcast on Thursday, November 16, 2017 during The Breakfast Club from 6 – 10 a.m. local time across more than 75 syndicated markets, and will continue from 10 a.m. – midnight on Power 105.1, New York’s Hip-Hop and R&B with other participating markets to be announced.
The Breakfast Club’s on-air personalities DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God will host the #Change4Change radiothon and encourage listeners to donate in support of The Gathering for Justice, a charity that sponsors movements such as The Women’s March, Justice League NYC and Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp. The broadcast fundraiser will also feature interviews with celebrities and representatives from charities fighting for equality and social justice, as well as inform listeners how to get involved in their local community’s efforts to help promote equality and unity for all.
The Breakfast Club is excited to broadcast #Change4Change and make a positive impact in communities nationwide, and the morning show actively supports equality for everyone regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender or sexual orientation. The three co-hosts encourage everyone to give what they can. All it takes is a little #Change4Change.
“We truly value and appreciate the support of The Breakfast Club and their listeners. This on-air fundraiser will help The Gathering for Justice continue its work changing the landscape of the criminal justice system and advocating for racial justice in our communities,” said Carmen Perez, Executive Director of The Gathering for Justice.
