A teen in New York City was attacked with a hatchet in broad daylight by a stranger on Monday, video shows.
The victim, who was riding a bike, was approached by the suspect at West 26th Street and Sixth Avenue just before 10 a.m. The attacker started yelling something incomprehensible, sparking a dispute, cops said.
After swinging a hatchet, Monday’s released video shows that the man struck the victim in the leg and foot while still on his bike.
Authorities said the victim was brought to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
Cops said the assailant took off along Sixth Avenue on a black moped.
On Tuesday, police were still looking for the suspect.
