STAR-STUDDED WHITNEY HOUSTON LISTENING EVENT IN NEW YORK CITY SETS THE STAGE FOR THE SEPTEMBER 1ST RELEASE OF “I LOOK TO YOU”

Stars and tastemakers shined bright at the listening event for the Whitney Houston album “I Look To You” held on July 21st at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. Whitney Houston’s album “I Look To You” is scheduled for release September 1, 2009 on Arista Records.An exclusive, VIP crowd filled the elegant setting at Columbus Circle who enjoyed cocktails and an evening of Whitney Houston’s new album hosted Clive Davis. Celebrity attendees included Alicia Keys (who wrote and produced the first track presented last night “Million Dollar Bill”), Diane Sawyer, Gayle King, Swizz Beats (co-producer of “Million Dollar Bill”) , Martha Stewart, Vivica A. Fox, Steve Harvey, Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston, her cousin Dionne Warwick, and daughter Bobbi Kristina, to name a few. Notable industry heavyweights included Clive Davis, Barry Weiss, Tom Corson, L.A. Reid, Charles Koppelman, Benny Medina, and Andre Harrell, among other tastemakers.Guests arrived to a cocktail reception. Barry Weiss, Chairman and CEO of RCA/Jive Label group kicked off the evening, introducing Clive Davis who presented 9 tracks from the 11 track album.
