The hip-hop artist and Death Row Records owner, Snoop Dogg, will represent the gaming giant as FaZe Snoop and participate in content creation, business initiatives and launch merchandise with the brand.

Coming off of his recent acquisition of Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg has shifted gears to focus on the gaming industry. The rapper is joining FaZe Clan, a gaming and youth culture platform, as part of its talent network and board of directors.

The hip-hop artist and Death Row Records owner will represent the company as “FaZe Snoop.”

Under the name “FaZe Snoop,” Snoop Dogg will have a role in business initiatives, content creation, key business initiatives, and merchandise launches. He’ll also appear in content across the FaZe Clan platform.

As a director, the rapper will help shape FaZe Clan as it becomes a public company, sharing insight on the entertainment industry and advice on new ventures into Web3 and gaming.

FaZe says Snoop will “co-create content, participate in key business initiatives, and launch merchandise with the brand while appearing across FaZe Clan’s platform.” He will also start a community outreach program “centered around charitable activities that support youth.”

The company’s talent network of over 85 members includes content creators, influencers, and gaming personalities such as LeBron James Jr., Lil Yachty, and Offset.

It also follows the news from October 2021 that FaZe Clan is planning to merge with BRPM, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), to become a publicly-traded company on the NASDAQ, with a $1 billion valuation.
