It seems like it really does happen in 3s singer David Peaston who charmed the very difficult audience as he won during the Showtime at the Apollo contest with his memorable rendition of Billie Holiday’s “God Bless the Child.” Peaston enjoyed some chart success with “Two Wrongs Don’t Make it Right” in the late 80s then he vanished after that album. He died from complications of Diabetes in NY on Wed. He was 54 years old.
