R&B Singer Major Harris has Died

Major Harris’ biggest smash was a song that is still popular today and has been recorded many times by other artists. That song is “Love Won’t Let Me Wait” a killer ballad about a man who can no longer stand the angst of not making love to the person that he has been dating for quite some time. The former Delfonics singer died this past Friday at the age of 65 in Richmond, VA. His death was confirmed by his sister Catherine Thomas. She stated that Major was rushed to the hospital on Friday where he later died from congestive heart and lung failure. Love Won’t Let Me Wait (video below) was a Top Ten single which peaked at #5 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1975.
