Radio Facts 21st Anniversary Appreciation

I LOVE the changes in the industry,  I LOVE technology, I LOVE social networking, I LOVE progression and I don’t like looking back and remembering yesterday because I think the future is much closer. Finally, I’m middle aged and black. I know, that’s an anomaly but I’ve always been cut from a different cloth. I greatly EMBRACE the changes and I realized I had to find a way to embrace others who embraced the future and it’s been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG journey. There are SO many people who can’t move past yesterday and that’s just not who I am or what I want to work with. So this year I completely changed the anniversary issues and focused on the people who are the most PASSIONATE and the most CONNECTED to the listeners, audiences, fans, technology and social networks. THESE are the people who are going to be around as long as they want to be because THIS is the new industry. Allow me to say, these issues have completely changed my business perspectives and the way I will do business in the near future.

Everybody in this issue has inspired ME more than any other anniversary issue we have ever done in the past 20 years. In all fairness Charlemagne was interviewed last year for the 20th Anniversary issue and his interview would have been more fitting for this issue but this year we spotlighted those in the trenches, making a difference, taking a bold approach to success and creating their own destinies. Those who DESERVE more recognition for their efforts and the greatest reward was not only them saying Thanks but also posting on their social networks to tell their fans about it. They returned the favor without us asking. The response to the magazine has been amazing and the people who we interviewed in the hopes of inspiring others, turned it around and they have inspired us. Thanks SO much for your support and look for more issues with people like you in the spotlight starting in Sept. Keep doing what you do and staying in front of the camera and social networks and inspiring others by being who you really are, being connected to your fans and holding on to your passion. You have only scratched the surface and we’re here to help you build your legacy…
