TheIndustry.biz 21ST ANNIVERSARY MAGAZINE ISSUE “MAKE ROOM!” SPOTLIGHTS RADIO AND MUSIC INDUSTRY DIVERSITY, INNOVATORS AND ENTREPRENEURS

FEBRUARY 3, 2016

LOS ANGELES, CA– Make Room! In an effort to create a trade publication that people actually read and not thumb through for pictures, TheIndustry.biz , the leading urban radio and music industry site, is going all out to change that concept. Readers can and WILL get something out of this special issue.  TheIndustry.biz (theindustry.biz) is going to profile RADIO, MUSIC, PUBLISHING, MEDIA and MORE industry innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders who create, compete and excel when it comes to the future of the industry for the 21st Anniversary issue of the Magazine “MAKE ROOM!” Street date April 4, 2016

“We tried, like all the other trades, profiling the Black heads of radio and radio corporations for TheIndustry.biz but we didn’t get the response that we expected. Our readers feel they don’t “know” upper level radio execs which is unfortunate. Today’s young urban radio and music industry target’s interest has shifted, they want something more tangible, attainable and connected to the future of music and radio. Instead of someone collecting accolades for their past work they are looking for industry leaders who are not afraid to boldly create the future. The future of the industry is about making your OWN deals, entrepreneurship, brand building and using your leverage to change things for your career, community and beyond, this is what young and older industry people alike are connected to today.” stated Kevin (KevRoss) Ross, President and CEO of TheIndustry.biz and All Radio News.

There has been a huge paradigm shift in how young black industry people are motivated today according to our research and the days of spotlighting the same industry people who work for companies with limited diversity is no longer of interest to our readers. “I’m actually thrilled about this. We don’t want readers who see their future in working for a radio corporation only, We want readers who are interested in forming their OWN corporations!” Ross went on to state.

For this issue we will spotlight, promote and feature some of the most innovative and brilliant people in the urban realm and beyond. Those who have taken the bull by the horn and made their own way by exercising their leverage and/or turning lemons into lemonade and there are a LOT of great stories out there that rarely get coverage because of the usual industry politics for trades: content driven by advertising instead of the other way around.  In our analytics, there are at least 11 syndicated shows in urban radio. The number one show for us is Tom Joyner . Readers respond incredibly well to him and he is by far the most respected syndicated radio host because he is most connected to legitimate radio pros. We will be featuring him in the 21st Anniversary issue and more.
