Nelly Debuts Music Video For “Get Like Me” Featuring Nicki Minaj And Pharrell On BET’s 106 & Park

nelly-nicki-pharrellNelly popped by bet‘s 106 & Park to debut his scorching new music video for “Get Like Me” featuring Nicki Minaj and Pharrell. In addition, the clip will premiere on VEVO August 1.

Directed by auteur Colin Tilley [Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown], this black-and-white affair teams up these three powerhouse artists in one elegantly otherworldly vignette. It’s a slick and sexy visual marvel, emanating real heat from some of the game’s most dynamic names. Pharrell carries a swagged-out hook, while Nicki Minaj brings her signature lyrical fire. Meanwhile, Nelly remains a champion behind the mic, delivering one memorable rhyme after another.

“Get Like Me” is the latest single from the Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum superstar, entrepreneur, actor, and philanthropist’s highly anticipated seventh full-length album, M.O., due out this fall via REPUBLIC RECORDS. Already, the track has surpassed 760,000 plays on YouTube. It’s proven to be the perfect summer jam.

The song also comes hot on the heels of the chart-topping spring hit, “Hey Porsche”, which sold over 100,000 singles during its release week, garnered 17.5 million YouTube/VEVO views, became his 22nd charted Top 40 song, and tied him at 11th for “most charted Top 40 hits ever”. However, he’s still grinding harder than ever before.

Nelly recently joined his friends, hit making country duo, Florida Georgia Line , for a rousing and rowdy performance of their platinum-selling smash “Cruise” (Remix) at the finale of NBC’s The Voice. He’s also been tapped to perform at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards Sunday, August 11 as well as on Jay Leno and NBC’s Today Show Summer Concert Series in the coming weeks. In addition, Nelly made his debut as an official cast member on bet‘s #1-rated sitcom The Real Husbands of Hollywood . Across the board, success is his M.O.

For his forthcoming album, he teamed up with production powerhouses such as Pharrell (Jay Z, Robin Thicke, Daft Punk), DJ Frank E (Kanye West, Enrique Iglesias), Detail (Lil Wayne), & Rico Love (Beyonce, Usher). Plus, he invited some of his closest friends and today’s hottest artists to collaborate including: T.I., Future, 2 Chainz, Nelly Furtado, Trey Songz, and Florida Georgia Line .
