Ne-Yo‘s made quite a name for himself in the music industry and for his newest business venture, the singer-songwriter is tackling the world of fashion.
Known for his gentlemanly style of dress, which usually includes a three-piece suit and stylish head gear, the 31-year-old wants to share his fashion sense with the public by way of a new hat line. “The line is called Francis Alargo,” Ne-Yo tells TheBoombox. “We’re going to debut it at Fashion Week [at] Saks Fifth Avenue.”
While he didn’t divulge too many details since the line will be announced to the public this month, the hat collection is just one of the many things he has on his plate. Aside from working on becoming a fashion mogul, Ne-Yo is also making sure his new show, ‘I Heart Tuesdays,’ which will appear on the Cartoon Network, is “all the way right.”
As for fatherhood, the new dad to baby Madilyn Grace, who was born last November, has had to adjust his schedule, yet he’s not complaining. “I’m digging it,” he shares. “It’s definitely a change. A little less partying, a little more going home, but I don’t mind it because I’d honestly rather spend the time with her.”
On the music side of things, fans can expect a fifth studio album from Ne-Yo, which is currently in the works. For now, warm up with his fourth LP, ‘Libra Scale,’ or he can be heard on Pitbull‘s smash ‘Give Me Everything.’ The song made headlines last month, when actress Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against Pitbull for including her name and run-ins with the law in one of the lyrics.
As a result, the Miami rapper sought to make amends with Lohan by inviting her as his date to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, but she wasn’t up for the idea. As far as Ne-Yo is concerned, he wants nothing to do with the legal matter. “She’s not suing me and I haven’t had a chance to speak with Pit about that so I’m not even going to comment,” he explains. “I’ma leave that alone.”
As of August, ‘Give Me Everything’ has sold more than 3,000,000 digital downloads in the U.S.
