Nashville Urban DJ Curtis “Scooby” Senior Dies from Heart Failure

Nashville Urban DJWUBT (The Beat’s) Curtis “Scooby” Senior this past Saturday, Feb. 18. “Scooby” was one half of “Dolewite and Scooby”, tag-teaming show who had long presided over the 7:00-10:00 P.M. shift at WUBT-FM 101.1 The Beat, Nashville’s leading R&B/Hip-Hop station; the duo were so popular, they had recently been given the coveted drivetime hours. Senior was not in Nashville this weekend, but was in fact visiting family in Detroit; Saturday afternoon, he was hospitalized for heart complications which, a few hours later, proved fatal. Senior was only 33 years old.
