After surprising fans with the much-anticipated release of her eighth studio album, Rihanna, Samsung and TIDAL are excited to share that one million Navy fans have downloaded ANTI.
The collaboration between Rihanna and Samsung throughout ANTIdiaRy culminated in the gift of download codes for fans, and since the album’s release just 14 hours ago, TIDAL has fulfilled more than 1 million downloads. All redemption codes have now been redeemed, with the supply of complimentary downloads now being fully depleted. Rihanna, Samsung and TIDAL would like thank the more than 1 million Navy fans who have downloaded ANTI and made it an overnight success, exceeding expectations.
As an accomplished performer, Rihanna has sold 54 million albums and 210 million digital tracks worldwide making her the top-selling digital artist of all time. The is the most viewed artist on Vevo/YouTube with over 7 billion views and 23 Vevo certified videos, the most of any artist. Her vision for the unique gift release of ANTI has further underscored her ability to connect with through rich experiences that allow them to join Rihanna on her journey from childhood to superstar.
The single “Work” (featuring Drake) is number 1 in 91 countries on its first day of release and it was the most heard song on the more than 1,200 stations monitored by Nielsen Music for the Billboard Hot 100. The single garnered the largest audiences for the day, attracting 23.4 million audience impressions, derived from more than 2,300 first-day plays. As a result, he 23.4 million in audience for “Work” for the day bested runner-up Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” (21.7 million) and third-ranking Adele’s “Hello” (20.9 million).
