width=“Dog Day” which is November 4th serves as a fundraiser and show of support for Rock 103’s morning Radio DJ John “Bad Dog” McCormack. McCormack has been battling Luekemia for the past year. He has helped raise millions for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

On Thursday, Nov. 4th, many Mid-South restaurants and businesses will contribute money to a special fund, the John Bad Dog McCormack Trust, which has been established at First Tennessee Bank.

McCormack is a single parent raising two sons. His cancer has been in and out of remission over the past year, and despite his illness, Bad Dog has continued to be a part of ROCK 103s Bad Dog and Ric in the morning drive-time radio broadcast from his hospital bed and Germantown home on the days he is able.

“While his on-air moniker may be Bad Dog, the truth about John McCormack is, He is a very giving and caring person,””according to longtime friend Rocky Kasaftes, a member of the event steering committee.

A special website has already been set up www.friendsofbaddog.com to show their support for Bad Dog.
