Maya Angelou will be the first Black woman featured on a quarter. The coins will roll out this week featuring the Civil Rights Activist and poet who died in 2014 when was 86. The feature honors trailblazing women for their achievements as a part of the U.S. Mint’s American Women Quarters program.
