Mac Miller’s Autopsy Revealed

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office released the cause of rapper Mac radiofacts.comMiller’s death. The official toxicology reports that fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol were found in his system at the time of his death on Sept. 7th. It was determined that Miller’s death was accidental.

The family of the rapper received the autopsy three days after the death. His body was released to the family, and since been buried him in their hometown of Pittsburg.

Fentanyl has killed several musicians in the past year including Prince, Tom Petty, and Lil Peep. The drug is a synthetic opioid that is more powerful than heroin and is one of the deadliest drugs with the ongoing opioid crisis. It is also the leading cause of accidental overdose deaths.

Miller, born Malcolm James McCormick, was found unresponsive in his home located in Studio City and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was reported that the night before his death, he was watching football with his friends. A month before the incident, the rapper had just released his fifth studio album, Swimming.

The Pittsburg rapper had always been opened about his struggles with substance abused. He was also arrested in May of this year for a DUI but were later dropped.

Just last week, the star was remembered and celebrated by fans, friends, and family at his celebration of life concert. The concert benefited the Mac Miller Circles Fund.

The tribute concert took place at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The stars who performed in their friend and former collaborator’s honor included Action Bronson, Anderson.Paak, Chance the Rapper, Domo Genesis, Earl Sweatshirt, J.I.D, Miguel, Vince Staple, and many more.
