K-EARTH 101 Los Angeles’s own 3:00-7:00PM host, Shotgun Tom Kelly, will receive the 2,496th star on Hollywood’s renowned Walk of Fame, in the Radio category. The ceremony will be streamed live at www.walkoffame.com, where Kelly will be honored for his forty years on the radio. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Leron Gubler will present Kelly with this distinction, while close friend and musician Stevie Wonder and K-EARTH 101’s Program Director Jhani Kaye will speak on his behalf. Kelly, known for his bombastic tenor and signature ranger-style hat, has been a fixture on K-EARTH 101 since 1997.
In addition to his time at K-EARTH, Kelly has worked for radio stations across California, including a lengthy stay in San Diego, as well as hosting children’s shows like “Words-a-Poppin” and “Kids Club,” and narrating well known programs like “America’s Most Wanted” and “1000 Ways To Die.” Kelly has been honored many times for his television and radio work, including multiple Emmy Awards for Outstanding Host, and recognition from various radio trade publications.
