Joe Rogan explains how his use of the N-word was justified and taken out of context when India.Arie ran her recent post on Facebook where she withdrew her music from Spotify because of Joe Rogan’s racism and the lack of pay for musicians on the platform. In her video she runs a compilation of him using the N-word and saying when he was in an all black neighborhood that he was in the “Planet of the Apes.” Rogan says his comments were taken out of context and he says it’s not a word for white people to use. Ironically, India’s video has been removed.
