iHeartMedia Memphis Announces Sista Strut Drive Through Parade

iHeartMedia Memphis’ 95.7 Hallelujah FMV101K97, and WDIA announced today that their sixth annual Sista Strut breast cancer charity walk will be a drive through parade this year at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium parking lot on Saturday, October 3 at 10 a.m.

Sista Strut aims to raise awareness for breast cancer specifically in the African American community. The event will raise money for breast cancer organizations Sisters Network MemphisCarin’ and Sharin’ andSTAARS, all local Memphis breast cancer charities. iHeartMedia Memphis will promote the event on-air encouraging listeners to sign up for the event, as well as bringing awareness to community resources for breast cancer. 

“In an effort to keep everyone’s safety as our top priority and to ensure proper social distancing, Sista Strut will be a drive through parade this year,” said Caroline Hall, Event Director for iHeartMedia Memphis. “We hope this event will be a great way to bring the community together in the fight against breast cancer.”

Sista Strut will encourage participants to decorate their cars as there will be a “best decorated car” prize. Participants will be able to drive through sponsor activations and see iHeartMedia Memphis’ on-air personalities as well.

Sista Strut Memphis is presented by your Mid-South Chevy Dealers. Other partners include Memphis Vascular Center, Nature’s Protein by Coconut Restore, Cricket Wireless, MidSouth Gastroenterology Group, Shelby County Domestic and Sexual Violence Council, Pinnacle Financial Partners, A Fitting Place, Lees Logistics, Nucor Steel and Smuckers.

Participants can register for Sista Strut on V101K97WDIA and 95.7 Hallelujah FM’s websites as an individual or as a team. The cost to register is $25 for an individual and $30 for team members. Registration fee includes the Sista Strut t-shirt for both individual and team member sign ups. Team members will also receive the Sista Strut backpack.
