iHeartMedia’s 93.1 The Mountain home of “World Class Rock” in Las Vegas, announced today that AD Rowntree has been named Morning Drive Host and Assistant Program Director, effective immediately. Rowntree will broadcast weekday mornings from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Rowntree will discuss the latest entertainment news and trends in Rock music, as well as upcoming Las Vegas events. He has relocated to Las Vegas from San Diego and will continue to be heard in other iHeartMedia markets including Houston, Sacramento, Denver and nationwide on iHeartRadio’s digital custom Rock stations. As Assistant Program Director, Rowntree will support the Program Director in all programming aspects of the radio station including scheduling music, content creation, show production, digital programming as well as event support and management. He will report to Tony Matteo, Program Director for 93.1 The Mountain and Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Central California/Nevada Region.
Rowntree joins the Las Vegas market from ROCK 105.3 in San Diego, where he most recently served as the Midday/Afternoon Drive personality. In addition, he also serves as the afternoon host on 94.5 The Buzz and on his daily talk show heard in Houston (KPRC), Orlando (WTKS), Palm Beach (WZZR) and on the iHeartRadio app. A former major label recording artist, he began his radio career at 94.5 The Buzz and Sirius XM’s Alt Nation and Octane.
