A former Vibe writer, Kevin Powell, who wrote many of the stories and headlines for the late Tupac Shakur in the magazine is suing the film All Eyez on Me for plagiarism. Some would cite it's not possible to sue for actual events that took place but the problem is Powell admits some of the stories were embellished and that the script for the film lifted and used the factual stories as well as his embellishments. Powell's attorneys feel that this has opened the door for infringement considering Powell was not given credit for the story or embellishments. We'll keep you posted.
