New York, New York – Claudia Butzky has been named Vice President, Strategic Marketing, BMG Label Group, it was announced today. Butzky previously held the title of Vice President, Digital Sales and Retail Marketing, BMG Label Group. In her new role, Butzky will be involved in managing joint venture partnerships for the BMG Label Group. She will act as a liaison between the brands and the label’s artists as custom-craft integrated marketing campaigns are set forth. Butzky will also cultivate and expand business development opportunities for the BMG Label Group which includes the RCA Music Group and Zomba Label Group. She will continue to be based out of the company’s New York headquarters.
Claudia Butzky joined J Records upon its inception as Director, West Coast Sales. She has since served as Senior Director National Sales, J Records and Vice President Digital Sales and Retail Marketing, RCA Music Group.
Butzky has been instrumental in the sales and retail marketing campaigns for Alicia Keys, Barry Manilow, Eddie Vedder, Santana, Gavin DeGraw, Kelly Clarkson, Velvet Revolver, Foo Fighters and Daughtry among others. Most recently, she worked on campaigns for Chris Brown, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and Jordin Sparks. She began her career in sales and marketing at Chrysalis Records and has worked for IRS, PolyGram Label Group and Island Records prior to her tenure at J Records.
