“BULLYCIDE” WENZ FM/Z107.9 STOPS THE MUSIC, TO HELP STOP YOUTH SUICIDES IN 2-HOUR LIVE ON-AIR RALLY For the first time ever, Z107.9 FM Cleveland ‘s Hip Hop and R&B Radio Station stops the music to declare the airwaves a “BULLY-FREE AIR ZONE” Monday, October 25th, 2010 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm. The power house Radio Station is urging the community to “JUST LISTEN” during the “Z-TEEN SUMMIT” as Z107.9 Personalities Colby Colb and Latin Assassin speak cand idly to students, counselors and FBI experts on the issue of bullying and cyber-bullying. Bullying has lead to deaths across the country, capturing national headlines.In Cleveland , awareness for “Bullycide”- bullying that leads to youth suicide- has catapulted after four teenagers at local Mentor High School claim their own lives. “We’re committed to stopping the music because the dialogue is needed,” says Operations Manager and afternoon drive host, Colby Colb. “It’s two-fold; we’re embracing those being bullied and those doing the bullying in order to service the deeper problem.
