COLUMBIA, MD, October 30, 2012 ““Arbitron Inc. (NYSE:ARB) announced it has honored Jennifer Jones, Vice President Diverse Markets, AT&T Mobility & Home Solutions, for her contribution to multicultural marketing. Jones was honored at the “Arbitron Multicultural Marketing Honors” reception, also known as “The Power Hour Mixer” immediately prior to the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Multicultural Excellence Awards.
In her current role, Jones has advanced the company’s commitment to being best in class in the communications industry by addressing the unique needs of diverse segments. Jones and her team are responsible for leading the joint planning and execution of integrated marketing aimed at increasing and maintaining customer penetration of AT&T Mobility and Home Solution Services in the African American, Asian and Hispanic markets segments. Other major segments integral to AT&T’s marketing include Americans with Disabilities, LGBT, Active Military, Reserves & Veterans, Gen X and The Millennials.
Jones has held a number of leadership positions within AT&T including Sales, Finance, Marketing and Offer Management. Prior to joining AT&T 25 years ago, she was a financial planner with the investment firm Merrill Lynch.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Jones is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University (MBA). She is a former officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and a 1990-1991 Gulf War Veteran.
Created in 2010 to celebrate the value of multicultural radio, “The Arbitron Multicultural Honors Reception” recognizes a CMO or senior level Advertising Executive who has been notable in their commitment to multicultural marketing in Radio. Past honorees include, former McDonald’s CMO Bill Lamar (2010), and former Coca-Cola CMO and current Chief Sustainability Officer, Bea Perez (2011).
This year’s “Multicultural Marketing Honors reception” was held on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 4:15 to 5:45 at the Gotham Steakhouse at the Fontainebleau Resort Miami Beach.
