(AWRT) Announces Formation of Chicago Chapter

The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM), formerly known as American Women in Radio and
Television (AWRT) is pleased to announce the formation of the Chicago Chapter of the Alliance for Women in Media. The
chapter will seek to further advance the impact of women in the media and allied fields by educating, advocating, and acting as a
resource to its members and the industry in the greater Chicago area.
The following individuals were elected to serve as members of the 2010 Chicago Chapter of the Alliance for Women in Media

“I am excited to kick-off the summer with a renewed and revitalized organization,””said Angela T. Ingram, Chicago Chapter
President of AWM. “A strong membership will be our number one goal. We want our efforts to reach as many people as
possible in the Chicagoland area. As a board, we will make sure our members are gaining the resources they need and deserve
from AWM.”
The board will be hosting its inaugural event, “Renew & Revive: An Introduction to the Chicago Chapter of the Alliance for
Women in Media,””on Monday, June 21 from 5:30p ““ 7:30p. The event will take place on the newly remodeled rooftop of
Market, 1113 West Rand olph Street. Members of the Chicago Chapter of AWM extend an invitation to professional women
and men in media and allied fields to join us. College students are also welcome to attend. This will be an opportunity to eat,
share a toast and ideas, discuss the future direction and needs of the chapter, network with other professionals, join the
